A long-term loan refers to the borrowing of publications for a period exceeding 60 days.
This type of loan is available exclusively to teaching and research units and their respective sub-units, research projects, cultural units, and service units of the University of Minho. It applies only to publications that were either: purchased specifically for this purpose or acquired by the requesting entity and have very low usage rates.
Long-term loans may also be granted for publications acquired in support of teaching projects; in such cases, the request must be submitted by the course director.
