The loan period for home reading varies between 14 and 60 days, depending on the status of the publication and the type of user:
i) Academic staff and researchers at the University of Minho: loan period between 14 and 60 days, depending on the publication’s status.
ii) Doctoral students, scholarship holders, and administrative and technical staff at the University of Minho: loan period between 14 and 30 days, depending on the publication’s status.
iii) Other users: fixed loan period of 14 days, depending on the publication’s status.
In cases (i) and (ii), if a publication on loan for more than 14 days is reserved by another user (in accordance with Article 13), it must be returned within 14 days from the date of reservation, unless the original loan period ends earlier. In such cases, the USDB will notify users via their institutional email address.
The USDB will also send notifications to users—via institutional email (or the email provided in the user profile, for external users)—regarding upcoming return deadlines or the need to return or renew items.
