According to the University of Minho Libraries Regulations, users must return borrowed items by the due date, unless the loan period has been renewed. If the due date is missed, a fine will be charged for each overdue item and for each day of delay, at a rate set by the University's Management Council. However, if the return occurs on the first day of delay, the fine will not be applied.
